US awards Pak F-16s contract to Lockheed Martin

China has fired high-power lasers at U.S. spy satellites.

“China has fired high-power lasers at U.S. spy satellites flying over its territory in… a test of Chinese ability to blind the spacecraft,” Defense News is reporting. And, at least in theory, those lasers might be able temporarily take offline America’s most powerful orbiting spies, like the giant electro-optical Keyhole spacecraft or radar-based satellites like the Lacrosse. more

Pak to purchase $5b worth F-16s, defense equipments from US.

Foreign Minister Khurshid Kasuri said that Pakistan would purchase 5 billion dollars worth of F-16 fighter jets and defense equipments from the US to meet our defense requirements and would not back out on matters of national interest on the say of anyone. I wonder why dont they spend may be just 20% of that on IT infra+IT tech and get more return then F-16s… more
